First implementation of a mobile application for railways – agreement with ŁKA Railways Company

In the last days of December DPK System signed an agreement with ŁKA Railways Company (Aglomeration Rail in Łódź City) for the installation and implementation of the DDCS Rail, mobile applications which are complement to the basic system DPK Railways.

Mobile applications installed on tablets or smartphones allow drivers to replace paper work cards their electronic versions.

Applications related to central information system provide view of current timetable, the list of permanent warnings, current information about the status of the task.

Moreover, the system provides constant connectivity train drivers with the dispatcher using a pre-defined and editable current messages.

Through using GPS technology dispatcher can overview the positions of trains on the map. It is also possible to see current information about the trains’ status, punctuality and other data depending on the configuration of the system.

Constant and current records of courses from the application can be a base for automatic verification work, which eliminates labor-intensive, manual verification based on paper documents.

DDCS Rail is a new quality of work on railway and ŁKA Railways Company is a precursor in area of using modern information technologies.
